I don’t have the time I used to have for researching and learning new languages/frameworks/etc., but I try my best to learn something new, at least once every 8-12 months. My last try was Ruby on Rails. Still trying to tame the beast.

A couple of days ago, I stumbled upon Android, and I have to admit it looks really interesting. I would like to learn more about it and even develop a small application on my spare time (is there any?), although I would have to remember my Java along the way.

There is also an interesting competition going on for the best apps written for the platform, that could win quite a large amount of money.

Now, what is more difficult? Thinking an idea about a mobile app or implementing it?
